Miami International Mall to Host 12th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration on September 24

The Doral community is invited to experience the vibrant and unique cultures of more than 20 Latin countries in Central America, South America and the Caribbean at the 12th Annual Miami International Mall Hispanic Heritage Celebration, which will be held on Saturday, September 24 from 1-6 p.m.

Each year, National Hispanic Heritage month begins on September 15, the anniversary of independence of five Latin American Countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico, Chile and Belize also celebrate their independence days during this period and Columbus Day (Día de la Raza) is October 12.

“Doral is a vibrant community of diverse cultures and traditions, and we are thrilled to celebrate the character of our city and surrounding area,” said Alein Cadalso, mall manager, Miami International Mall. “Now in its 12th year, this annual celebration allows members of the community to enjoy and learn about the traditions of more than 20 Latin countries.”

The event begins with fashion vignettes from Miami International Mall retailers Cubavera, Macy’s, Mikino, Perry Ellis, Rue 21 and Obsession Footwear. The vignettes showcased throughout the center will feature must-have looks to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall.

Guests wishing to taste the delicious bites and beverages throughout the mall are encouraged to purchase a $5 ticket, which will grant unlimited samplings. Specialty cocktails will be provided by Barcelo Rum, Los Apostoles Gin and Bodega Vina Alicia. All proceeds from the purchased tickets will benefit the Simon Youth Foundation (SyF).

Participating food and beverage vendors include Bodega Viña Alicia, Carolina Ale House, Colombina, Decofruta, La Coriana, La Flor de la Canela, Le Café Limoge, Los Apóstoles Gin, Los Ranchos, Mr. Comelón, Ron Barcelo, Agave Taco Bar, Sweet Mei-ling Cake Design & Supply, 5300 Chop House at the Provident Hotel, Taste of Style, Tequesitos, The Knife and Tres Leches Factory.
