Fashion Group International South Florida Chapter held its third annual “Designed in Miami” event. The event took place on April 6, 2017, at Miami Ironside, located in the Little River Industrial District in Miami.
This year, FGI of South Florida brought three celebrated Miami-based designers to the panel of discussion. Bianca Coletti, owner of Bianca Colletti Swim; Ivana Berendika, creator of luxury jewelry line ‘Arme de L’amour’ and Ema Koja (designer of the year by Women in the Arts Miami) and creator of the brand Ema Savahl. Plus, we can’t forget the great job as moderator by Danielle Garno from Greenberg Traurig, which is a fashion law company.
Designed in Miami and Women Empowerment
Garno hosted the conversation very well, adding interaction between the panelists and the attendees. Meanwhile, the panelists shared their stories and insights on how to build a sustainable fashion business in our magical city.
The fashion talk was very interesting; the highlight of the evening was the inspiration behind each personal story. The empowerment talk given by Coletti, Berendika and Koja, reflected passion and honesty straight from the heart!
Fashionable gift bags were given by one our favorite local brand, Petit Pois by Viviana G, along with Foley & Lardner LLP and Greenberg Traurig.

Imparting valuable knowledge to our locals, Fashion Group International of South Florida is presenting every year ‘Designed in Miami’ with new panelists willing to share their experiences, inspired stories and success.
As a result, ‘Designed in Miami’ has enjoyed a strong turnout of local emerging fashion businesses and entrepreneurs. The event also attracts fashion students striving to find out the details about how to effectively design and produce in Miami, and how to market fashion brands and leverage the power of brand storytelling.
This time, FGI of South Florida partnered with great companies. Among them were Funkshion Miami, Tolga Kavut, fashion photographer, the amazing beer Gravity Brewlab and Makairaco Wines.
