Red color: How to add color to a neutral outfit

Is it March already? Time really flies and we’re getting even closer to our favorite months.  As Spring / Summer season is approaching quickly, I thought it would be a great idea to showcase how you can incorporate in your outfit, the most talked about upcoming trends!

From how to wear red effortlessly and combine neutrals like beige and white powerfully, to the hottest shoe trend of the moment, plus some great tips on where to save in fashion and where to invest.

The power of red!

Let’s start with the star of the show; the red Saint Laurent clutch of course. Why red? Because red is one of the most classic as well as most fashion-forward color. It’s always in fashion and when you use it right, red can magically make you a symbol of femininity. There is something special about this color that instantly transforms a look, into a very stylish one.

However, it can be a little overwhelming in the morning. The secret? Wear it in small doses like a clutch or sunglasses and pair it with light nude colors like white, beige or even both like I did. Any neutral or black outfit can be styled with a pop of red effectively and the optical result will be amazing.

Clear shoes are here to stay…

Another super hyped trend since Kim Kardashian and many other celebrities wore, not only on their off-duty but also on their red-carpet looks is the clear shoe trend. And I must say that it’s the easiest shoe option as the weather gets hotter and hotter. It can be styled with anything from a classy dress like the Calvin Klein I’m wearing to even a pair of trousers.

At night, it becomes even more interesting worn with a body-con dress, as a super sexy choice, perfect for the Miami parties.

Affordable fashion = smart girl

Finally, a great tip from me that I find to be truly helpful, is knowing where to invest in fashion. You don’t have to wear extremely expensive clothes and accessories in order to look good, girls! You can easily look like a million dollars by mixing and matching affordable with high-end pieces like I did here. A high-quality bag can surely make a difference by elevating even the simplest affordable clothes you have in your closet.

What’s your favorite power combo?

I will be wearing my neutral outfits with a spicy little red touch during the summer, for sure!
