The Miami Symphony Orchestra celebrated 50 years of the Beatles’ Arrival in Miami with a full house concert at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami on November 16th 2014.
This time, the Miami Symphony Orchestra and maestro, Eduardo Marturet, made a memorable event in the music of history in Miami, performing the world premiere of two original works and three symphonic versions inspired by the music of the Beatles.
“So many friends, patrons, sponsors, designers, technicians, and promoters have provided more than a ‘little’ in the equation,” said Marturet. “Our deepest gratitude goes out to them for their never ending support.”
The highlights of the night also include the fashion presentation (Gratitude Collection) by Lisu Vega, Athina Klioumi Marturet, and Miami Fashion Spotlight.net, along with the red carpet sponsored by Make Your Own Peace Foundation.

The Miami’s composers-in-residence program included:
Samuel Hyken – The Beatles Guide to the Orchestra (with Juan Pablo Galavis, narrator).
Peter Breiner – Beatles Go Baroque (with Daniel Andai, violin).
Florencia Di Concilio – Golden Slumbers (world premiere with Ciro Fodere, piano).
Alejandro Campos – Imagine on the Long and Winding Road (with Ruben Studdard, vocalist).
Eduardo Marturet – Variations on “With a Little Help from my Friends” (world premiere with Haven Star, vocalist, and with The David Anderson Ensemble).
