NBC’s “Fashion Star” kicked off yesterday, featuring host Elle Macpherson and celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos with great audience. The series gives 14 unknown designers the chance to win a multi-million dollar opportunity to launch their collection in Macy’s, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue. Each week, the designers create new fashions that will be critiqued by buyers from each retailer- in the end, one designer will successfully combine fashion and business to become the next Fashion Star!
This week, Macy’s Buyer Caprice Willard selected Edmond, Lizzie and Nikki as the lucky designers to have merchandise sold exclusively online and at Macy’s Herald Square. Beginning last night at macys.com/fashionstar, customers from coast-to-coast could purchase looks straight from the “Fashion Star” runway.
Product from this week’s episode includes:
Sleeveless Halter Dress (white), $110
