I love trying beauty products, as it is my favorite duty since I founded this blog; evidence that fashion is my passion. I have to recognize that beauty is like a twin of fashion (and they don’t like to be separate).
I would like to start this review by confessing the truth about my hair situation. I have been a fan of hair extensions for so long to where I couldn’t live without them. The problem is when you do this to your hair, you look stunning thanks to your hair extensions, but your real hair suffers so much. I ended having many problems like thin hair and even worst, my hair doesn’t grow anymore.
Feeling like I will never have long hair in my life again, I created a situation for myself where I have to wear hair extensions, ponytails, wigs and everything in the market to hide that problem!
Last year, I got engaged, and I promised myself I would not use hair extensions on my wedding day, and I went to a beauty salon and I did the unexpected, I cut my hair… I thought “I have almost a year to make it grow” but my hair didn’t grow that much–not the way I was expecting.
A couple of months past and I did everything that I had in my hands–trying every single piece of advice my friends told me about hair products. I even tried home treatments, without results, and my wedding date was approaching… you can guess my desperation.
Finally, a couple of months before my wedding day, I received a box of products from one of the publicists of Carol’s Daughter — I have met her at one event here in South Beach—I received Carol’s Daughter’s shampoo (Black Vanilla), Hydrating conditioner (Black Vanilla), Sacred Tiare (Restoring hair mask), Sacred Tiare (Leave-in-conditioner) and the “Hair Milk” (original leave-in-moisturizer)— I would like to call it “the miracle box!”
I don’t know how to explain my experience to you guys, but this set restored my hair like no other hair product in the market. After a couple of weeks, my hair grew fast and thick (remember that I am an over 40 woman), and things like this don’t happen so easily at this age. My hair was also looking shiny and healthy and I couldn’t believe it. Even my “groom-to-be” made compliments about my new hair look…I thought just wow!
When my wedding arrived, my hair was so ready to marry Frank as I was… I still remember how good I felt when my stylist congratulated me for my healthy hair. That day all the energies were magic and my first accomplishment was my long hair– I wore a high fashionable Bun (you know me, it was like my own fashion show) but it was made with my own hair!
Since then, I became a fan of CD products—I know they are not cheap, but I think long, healthy hair is worth it. My favorite product of this “miracle box”, which has become a part of my life because it travels with me everywhere, is the hair milk. This milk makes my hair so soft and I truly believe is the reason my hair is so abundant now too.
By the way, I never write a review until I finish the product (just like to be accurate about the product’s details)—which is why I waited so long—but now I realize, this is another great quality of CD –these products last longer!

Encuentros Cercanos con los productos para el cabello “Carol’s Daughter”
Me encanta probar productos de belleza, es mi tarea favorita desde que fundé el blog y aunque la moda es mi pasión, tengo que reconocer que la belleza es como una hermana gemela de ella y no les gusta estar separadas.
Me gustaría empezar esta nota por confesar la situación que tenía con mi cabello. He sido fan de las extensiones de pelo por mucho tiempo al punto que no podía vivir sin ellas. El problema es que cuando se usan extensiones lucimos impresionantes, pero tu cabello real sufre mucho—por lo que termine teniendo problemas como el cabello muy fino y peor aún, no me crecía para nada.
Sintiendo que nunca más tendría el pelo largo, me cree una situación donde tenía por obligación que usar extensiones, colas de caballo, pelucas y cuanto había en el mercado para ocultar ese problema.
El año pasado, me comprometí para casarme y me prometí a mí misma que no usaría extensiones el día de mi boda–me fui a un salón de belleza e hice lo inesperado, me corté el cabello … pensé “tengo casi un año para que crezca” –pero mi pelo no crecía…no de la manera que esperaba.
Un par de meses pasaron e hice todo lo que tuve en mis manos – intenté todos los consejos de mis amigas, incluso tratamientos caseros, sin resultados– la fecha de la boda se acercaba … se pueden imaginar mi desesperación.
Unos meses antes del día de mi boda, recibí una caja de productos de Carol’s Daughter – me la había enviado su publicista, a quien había conocido en un evento aquí en South Beach. Recibí un champú Carol’s Daughter (Black Vanilla), un hidratante acondicionador (Black Vanilla), una mascarilla para el pelo, un acondicionador sin enjuagar— y una leche acondicionadora (original leave-in-moisturizer)–a la que llamé “la caja milagrosa”.
No sé cómo explicarles mi experiencia, pero este conjunto de productos restauró mi cabello como ningún otro. Después de un par de semanas, mi pelo creció rápido y grueso (soy una mujer de más de 40 y este tipo de cosas no ocurren fácilmente a mi edad). Mi cabello también comenzó a lucir brillante y saludable. Incluso mi prometido (ahora mi esposo) me hizo unos cuantos cumplidos acerca de mi nuevo look de pelo … pensé ¡Wow!
Cuando llegó el día mi boda, mi cabello estaba tan listo para casarse con Frank como yo lo estaba… todavía recuerdo como me sentí cuando mi estilista me felicitó por lo sano que lucía mi cabello. Ese día todas las energías fueron mágicas y mi primer sueño se había hecho realidad…me hicieron un moño alto muy de moda (fue como mi propio fashion show) ¡pero fue hecho con mi propio cabello!
Desde ese día, me convertí en fan de los productos CD– sé que no son baratos, pero creo que un cabello largo y sano, vale la pena. Mi producto favorito de esta “caja milagrosa”, que se ha convertido en parte de mi vida y viaja conmigo a todas partes, es la leche sin enjuagar para el cabello. Esta leche suaviza tanto mi cabello y realmente creo es la razón por la que ahora es abundante.
Por cierto, nunca escribo un review hasta que termine el producto (me gusta ser precisa en los detalles )—por eso esperé tanto tiempo, pero ahora me doy cuenta, esta es otra gran cualidad de los productos de CD, ¡duran más!
