This season will surprise you with the reinvention of hair colors by John Frieda and his most recent campaign “Rethink the possibilities.” A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to be among a group of beauty & fashion influencers to a special John Frieda event at the trendy restaurant “El Cielo” at Downtown. I love attending events like John Frieda’s because they have a current New- Yorker-touch, and while I learn new hair trends, I have the opportunity to meet with colleagues and local bloggers that adorn these events with their different sense of styles.
During the presentation, we learned everything new for colored hair such as the revolutionary treatments, shampoos, and conditioners “Brilliant Brunette John Frieda Hair Care,” which you can apply at home in the shower. These innovative products take hair color in a whole new direction, letting every brunette customize the shade of her dreams.
I will tell you my experience: I chose the new “Brilliant Brunette Brighter Visibly Lightening Collection,” because I wanted a lighter brown (my hair color is dark brown)—the brighter colors suit me well and make me look younger!

With wet hair in the shower, I applied “Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter In-Shower Treatment” ($ 9.99) –almost like when you are washing your hair. Only that women of my age, (over 40 & fabulous!) need extra attention in the roots (the product is not intended for grey hair but worked very well for me). This product works by removing a type of melanin from the hair shaft that’s particular to brunettes, resulting in a permanent, all-over lightening. The dual-tube applicator lets you blend the lightener in your hands, with no extra mixing step. I let it for ten minutes (even though that it recommends 5) and then I rinsed it.
Then I continued with shampoo and conditioner “Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Shampoo & Conditioner” ($ 9.99 each). These two products are recommended for gradually brightening and illuminating rich brunette tones. They take brunette hues in a warmer, more golden direction, and add shine for extra brightness.
After I had done the blow drying, I retouched a couple of renegade gray hairs. (I am learning to live with them) with the product “Color Blending Concealer Amber to Maple Brunettes” which I adored since I saw it. I love the way it is presented; you can carry it in your handbag to retouching your grays anywhere. By the way, thanks, John Frieda for thinking about women of our age! Ah… the color ended up gorgeous with a golden touch when the sun shines directly, and the brightness is amazing — here is the picture!

Tendencias de Cabellos: Morenas al Poder con John Frieda
Esta temporada te sorprenderás con la reinvención de colores para cabellos de John Frieda y su más reciente campaña “Rethink the Possibilties.” Hace un par de semanas tuve el gusto de ser invitada junto a un grupo de “influencers” a un evento especial de John Frieda aquí en el Downtown—en el muy de moda restaurant “El Cielo”—Me encanta asistir a los eventos de John Frieda porque son divinos, tienen un toque Neoyorquino muy chic—y mientrás aprendo las nuevas tendencias en cabellos, me reúno con colegas y me re-encentro con nuestras blogueras locales que adornan estos eventos con sus diferentes estilos. Durante la presentación aprendimos todo lo nuevo en el mercado para cabellos teñidos y sus revolucionarios tratamientos, champús y acondicionadores “Brilliant Brunette” de John Frieda Hair Care, que se aplican en casa durante la ducha–estos innovadores productos llevan los tintes para el cabello a una nueva dimensión, permitiendo que cada mujer con cabello castaño logre la tonalidad de sus sueños.
Aquí les cuento mi experiencia: escogí la colección del nuevo “Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Lightening”, quería un color castaño más claro que mi color (mi cabello es castaño oscuro), es un color que me va bien y me hace lucir más joven; )
Con el cabello mojado en la ducha, aplique el “Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Collection In-Shower Treatment” ($9.99). Casi parecido a cuando te lavas el cabello, solo que las mujeres de mi edad (over 40 & Fabulous!) necesitamos siempre extra atención en las raíces (aunque el producto no está indicado para canas, les cuento que a mí me funciono muy bien—me imagino que dependerá del tipo de canas y la cantidad). Este producto trabaja eliminando un tipo de melanina específico del tronco del cabello castaño, dejándolo más claro de forma permanente. Su aplicador de tubo dual permite mezclar el aclarador en las manos, eliminando el paso adicional de mezclado…lo dejé reposar durante diez minutos (aunque se recomienda 5) y después lo enjuagué. Después continue con el shampoo y el acondicionador “Brilliant Brunette Visibly Brighter Shampoo & Visibly Brighter Conditioner” ($9.99 cada uno). Estos dos productos son recomendables para agregar gradualmente brillo y luminosidad al cabello.
Después que me hice el secado utilice en uno que otro punto sobre alguna cana rezagada ( ya estoy aprendiendo a vivir con ellas) el producto “Colour Blending Concealer Amber to Maple Brunettes”, el cual adore desde que lo vi—me encanta como esta envasado, se puede llevar en la cartera a todas partes para facilitarte el retoque en cualquier lugar—by the way, ¡ mil gracias John Freida por pensar en mujeres de nuestra edad!
¡Ah el color del cabello es un espectáculo, los matices son más cálidos con un toque dorado cuando le da el sol directamente, y el brillo es resplandeciente– aquí les dejo la imagen! Les cuento que estos productos ya están a la venta al público desde finales de Enero del 2016 y el “Brilliant Brunette Multi-Tone Revealing Shampoo & Conditioner” estará disponible desde Marzo del 2016.
