Adriana Cataño receives honors as ‘Hispanic Artist of The Year’ and ‘Iconic Woman in The Arts’

Hispanic Culture and fall fashion came alive this past weekend at Miami International Mall with the Eighth Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration created in partnership with the City of Doral.

The Hispanic Heritage Celebration, presented by Miami Dade College and sponsored by Telemundo 51, kicked off with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Liga Contra el Cancer “League Against Cancer” and the Simon Youth Foundation.
The event honors a group of extraordinary Hispanic individuals such as award winning actress Adriana Cataño who was recognized as the “Hispanic Artist of the Year”. As the Hispanic Star Award recipient, Adriana was acknowledged for her selfless contributions to her community and how she earned a stellar reputation for her tireless work on important community projects in South Florida.
She continues her service to the Hispanic community by hosting monthly seminars where she guides young teens and young adults through their journey towards reaching their dreams of breaking into show business.
The honorees were recognized in front of local dignitaries, community leaders, prominent media, family and friends through a spectacular runway fashion show.
On September 24, 2012 at the Women in the Arts Award Ceremony a group of exceptional women were recognized as the “Iconic Women in the Arts”; Adriana Cataño was among these personalities. Women in the Arts Miami (WITAM) recognize and honor the wealth of talent pursuing excellence in their craft. It is the goal of WITAM to raise visibility of local professional talent and encourage increased production of television, film and stage productions in Florida.
Congratulations Adriana, Miami loves you!
