Recently, we were invited to experience the show “Magique” with Kevin & Caruso at Faena Theater at Faena Hotel in Miami Beach.
We went on Tuesday on our couple’s date night, and we truly enjoy the experience. Foremost, we were impressed with the concept of the theater. The intimate theater is inspired by the grand opera houses of Europe and the glittering allure of old Hollywood—all decorated in fabulous red.
Magique: Lights, cameras, show!
The doors opened at 7:30 PM, meaning we could sit and order drinks and delicious bites before the show– we loved the food, by the way. The attentive staff also managed to refill our drinks during the show, which was even better.
Regarding the show, it was incredibly entertaining; the performances of Kevin & Caruso combined magic and comedy with a splash of cirque. Either way, Madame Houdini, a beautiful Venezuelan girl with aerial and athletic skills, made her straight jacket escape in a fabulous jaw-dropping show –rarely performed by a woman.
The dazzling shows were accompanied from the beginning to the end by dancers kind of Broadway-caliber, along with multimedia backgrounds that made us feel like we were in the middle of a stunning cabaret, but with special effects.
Meet & Greet the Cast…
As fashionistas, we thought the most glamorous thing of the night were the costumes. We knew later by Illusionist, Caruso himself, that he is the designer behind all these gorgeous hand-made pieces featured at their performances.
After the show, we could meet and greet the cast and take our selfies at the hall of the theater.
Even though that “Magique” is a family-friendly show, we recommend this show for couples. It fits perfectly for couple’s date night (like we did). Or you can stay at the hotel for a couple’s getaway, combining a stay at the hotel with the “Magique” experience.
