Another invitation has arrrived! Yes, we were invited to South Seas Island Resort located at 5400 Plantation Road in Captiva Island, Florida. This renowned Resort has been featured in many magazines for the energizing recreational activities available to the entire family, and for being a beach retreat for couples and business groups. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa located in the South Village, with full kitchen and private screened balcony with a peaceful and relaxing view of the bay and part of the Gulf.

¡Otra invitación nos ha llegado ha llegado! Sí, fuimos invitados a South Seas Island Resort situado en 5400 Plantation Road en la Captiva Island, Florida. Este reconocido Resort ha sido publicado en muchas revistas por las energizantes actividades recreativas que tiene para toda la familia y por ser un refugio de playa para parejas y grupos empresariales. Nos alojamos en una villa de un dormitorio ubicado en la Villa Sur, con cocina completa y balcón privado con vista a la relajante bahía y parte del Golfo.

Our first night we had a romantic seafood dinner at the sophisticated Harbourside Bar and Grill, while we enjoyed another breathtaking view of the Yacht Harbour Marina. For desert, the restaurant’s staff surprised me with a beautifully decorated lemon pie (my favorite) singing “Happy Birthday” (yes, it was my b-day!).

Nuestra primera noche tuvimos una romántica cena (mariscos) en el restaurante Harbourside Bar and Grill, mientras disfrutamos de la impresionante vista del Yacht Harbour Marina. De postre, el personal del restaurante me sorprendió con una tarta de limón (mi favorito) delicadamente decorada– cantando “Cumpleaño Felíz” (sí, estaba de cumple).

The second day, we desired to explore the island. The beach was a short walking distance and everything was so convenient. The resort provide towels, umbrellas and chaise lounges. We had cocktails and lunch at the beach. With so many shells everywhere, we had so much fun collecting them! We noticed a lot of families, and through our questioning them about the resort we found out that extended-stay guests can enjoy the option of South Seas’ Private Homes and Condominium Rentals. Families love this option for the privacy because the beaches of South Seas are never overcrowded.

El segundo día, deseábamos explorar la isla. La playa esta a una corta distancia caminando y todo muy conveniente. El complejo proporciona toallas, sombrillas y sillas. Disfrutamos cócteles y almuerzamos en la playa. Con tantas conchas de mar que habia por todos lados encontramos divertido colectarlas. Nos dimos cuenta que habia gran cantidad de familias alrededor y buscando conversacion les preguntamos que tal el resort– para enteramos que los huéspedes de estadías largas pueden disfrutar de “private homes” o casas privadas y renta de apartamentos. A las familias les encanta esta opción por la privacidad, porque las playas de South Seas nunca están abarrotadas de gente.

We came back to Harbourside where we enjoyed an amazing steak dinner, signature cocktails and carrot cake this time. There were plenty of dining and shopping options at the resort along with the on-site trolley that takes guests around the resort so they don’t even have to use a car during their stay. The sunsets are to die for! We went to the north point to take some pictures of the sunsets and we saw several dolphins swimming along on the bay.

Volvimos a el restaurante “Harbourside” donde disfrutamos esta vez de una increíble cena de carnes, cócteles y pastel de zanahoria . Había suficientes opciones de restaurantes y tiendas en el complejo junto con el carrito del hotel que lleva a los visitantes por todo el complejo, así que ni siquiera tienen que utilizar su carro durante la estadia. Las puestas de sol son para morirse. Fuimos hasta el punto norte para tomar algunas fotos de ellas y vimos varios delfines nadando a lo largo de la bahía.
