On May 15, 2014, Miami Fashion Week kicked off with a glamorous party at the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach. Designers, models, and celebrities strutted the red carpet.
This year, the Miami Fashion Week organization promises a bigger more fashion infused event, with new pop-up boutiques and even fashion student competitions. Adding to the Eastern Air Lines Competition which was created in part for Eastern Air Lines’ sponsorship–the competition involves a showcase that will present the designs of flight attendant uniforms from five Miami-based designers.

Designers Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Nicolas Felizola and Fabrizio De Castro along with celebrities such as: Maripily Rivera, Karent Sierra (Real Housewives of Miami) and Viviana Gibelli, among others graced the red carpet and bloggers with personal photographers captured every moment to flood the social media gates with their blog postings later
