During the episode of “Model Latina South Beach” on Monday June 4th, two of the girls were sent home. After struggling to nail their modeling and acting skills during this week’s team challenge and unable to portray action and beauty in their photograph, Jillian and Brittany became the first two models eliminated from the competition.

Lissette Rondon, President of Miami Fashion Spotlight,  got an exclusive interview with Jillian (18), where the Puerto Rican model based in New York, talked about her experience at Model Latina South Beach, what she thinks about the judges’ decision, next projects, and more.

LR- How did you feel when you knew that you had to leave the competition?
“I was extremely sad, I didn’t see that coming I wasn’t expecting at all,” added Jillian

LR- Do you think the judges’ decision was fair?

“I understood that the picture was not the best but I don’t think it was the worst of the entire group,” said Jillian.

LR- What was your favorite experience at Model Latina South Beach?
“The best was the opportunity to go to South Beach. I’ve never been in Miami before and my favorite challenge was the dolphins. I had a lot of fun with that because I never thought I would get the opportunity to do under water photo shoot,” added Jillian.

LR- What do you think about fashion in Miami?
“Fashion in Miami has its very own vibe. It’s swimwear oriented. In New York its very high fashion, editorial Avant-garde,” said Jillian.

LR- Who do you think is going to win? “All the girls are strong competitors. Who I think is doing very well so far is Rachel because she won the first competition. If she keeps it up she has the potential to win,” added Jillian.

LR-What is your next project?
“ I would like to do a commercial or editorial work,” said Jillian. “I also would like to try acting as well,” added Jillian.

LR- Could you define your work and yourself with just 3 words? “Ambitious, unique, and fresh,” said Jillian.

“In order to be in any kind of competition, you have to be yourself, you have to be confident but at the same time you have to be humble.”
