LR -How do you feel about being selected as one of the five finalists?

“It is a real honor to be part of the designers in the Eastern Airlines project,” said Vega.

LR – What was the first thing you did when you got the good news?

“I cried,” added Vega.

LR – Tell us a little about your proposal, how would you dress the new flight attendants?

“The original uniform to create the concept for the new generation and also construct the full marketing, she is the image for Eastern Air Lines, and my vision is when she walks in the airport, she represents a 100% the airlines, luggage, scarfs, uniforms,” added Vega.

LR – What was the inspiration behind your proposal?

“The airline and me,” said Vega. “When I was little my dream was to be a flight attendant and fashion designer, so many years later my dream is real—it is an exciting project because I wanted to reflect an independent, chic, elegant women in the airplane.”

LR – Could you define your proposal with just one word?

“Real,” said Vega.

LR- The rules of this competition require that each designer propose a futuristic design, tell us a little bit about yours.

“For me to express the future, I need to check first the past,” added Vega. “So it is an elegant design with the new campaign of accessories.”

LR – What do you think it takes to win this competition?

“Work hard and be identified with the airline,” said Vega.

LR – If you could pick another finalist, beside yourself, to win this competition who would it be and why?

“It is really hard because every designer like Kayce, Samy, Julian, Viviana and me put all the energy and talent to create the project,” said Vega. “I think everybody is already a winner!”

LR – What will be the first thing you do if you win?

“The best part- produce the uniforms!” said Vega laughing.
