This year I was invited to the Lifestyle Retreat Lounge at The James Royal Palm Hotel (running congruently with Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week Swim) on behalf of Miami Fashion Spotlight, and what an experience it was!

We had DJ Erick Morillo spinning tunes and a photo booth with big, exaggerated props, which were great for keeping everyone’s mood light and happy. If you needed a boost of energy, Monster and Smoothie King came to the rescue with a quick shot, and Onli sparkled with their refreshments. Now, if you were looking for a more relaxing experience, The Spa at Equinox had your back with massages.

Needed a quick hair touch-up? Safar Salon was your golden ticket! For those manicured nails that, let’s be honest, weren’t so manicured, LVX was your fix. And if you found yourself in the mood for a little buzz, Fifty Pounds (Gin), Vida Tequila, and Château D’ESCLANS (wine), were at your beck and call. Château D’ESCLANS were promoting their Rosé wines, which weren’t as sweet as some would expect them to be, but were more of a dry wine. I give it a thumbs-up!

Forgot to accessorize before heading out the door? Ibiza Passion was your go-to arm candy stop. If you were there, you might have met JoAnna Lawner, Marketing and Sales Manager for Ibiza Passion. JoAnna told me that Ibiza Passion has been in the business for over 10 years, and I just loved that. With their great accessories and right-on trends, it’s great to know they’re continuing in success.

To top it off, the space was splashed with celebrities and models. Making a comeback, Betsey Johnson was promoting her new swimwear line, which was revealed at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. So ladies, get your bikini bodies ready for some quirky, far-out printed swimsuits as only Ms. BJ can do.

Perrey Reeves, (or as some of you may know her, Melissa Gold – Ari Gold’s wife in Entourage) made an appearance, along with Supermodels Nina Agdal and Julie Henderson.

All in all, the Lifestyle Retreat Lounge at The James Royal Hotel was an enjoyable experience. I was truly delighted that all the people working there and promoting products for companies were all local Miamians. It’s wonderful that visitors from all over got to see this great city come together, work hard, and put on a great show!
